Hello @ROG_GEO
Thank you for reaching out to us.
May I ask if you are currently building a new PC?
For RAID configuration, please consider updating the BIOS to the latest version, and after clearing CMOS, refer to the steps outlined in [Motherboard] Intel 500 series and before and AMD board of how to create RAID in BIOS Setup.
For the installation of the M.2 SSD, please refer to the M.2 installation guide on page 2-7 of the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO user manual.
You can also find illustrated instructions in the "D. BOOT LED light" section in [Motherboard] ASUS motherboard troubleshooting via Q-LED indicators
Thank you.

Hi @ROG_GEO , can you explain a little bit more?
While RAID has its advantages, it also requires care. If you lose the RAID keys then you lose all data. Personally, I will setup disk mirroring or use drive backup software over RAID for personal use. In both these setups, it is very easy to connect the drive to another computer and still access data. In case of a RAID setup, connecting the drives to another computer usually does not work unless you can properly setup the RAID on this new computer with the same keys. Without dedicated RAID hardware, this gets very challenging.
Even when you are able to setup RAID, I strongly recommend that before you put any important data on your RAID setup, you run a test by assuming something has failed and see if you can recover from the loss.
If you are still interested in setting up a RAID please see https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-motherboards/raid-can-not-be-activated-on-sata-disks-on-rog-str... post where the moderator here has provided additional details and a link to ASUS FAQ which contains the detailed steps on how to set one up if your setup properly supports it.
Good luck!
