Hi guys, as the title says, after updating the bios (version 4001) on my Z690-G, my 12900k reaches temperatures never recorded before, namely 79/85 degrees. Can you help me solve this problem?

Hello @Z690-F
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you let us know which version you updated from to reach BIOS 4001 and whether you cleared CMOS after the update?
CPU temperature varies by usage and fan configuration, typically around 45°C at idle, 40-70°C under light loads, and up to 85°C under heavy loads.
If you have concerns about high CPU temperatures, you might try setting Boot Performance Mode to Max Non-Turbo Performance in BIOS > Advanced > CPU Configuration > CPU Power Management Control.
Additionally, please ensure that the CPU cooler is installed correctly, the thermal paste fully covers the CPU surface, and consider increasing airflow and circulation within the case.
Meanwhile, May I ask if you are monitoring the CPU temperature through the BIOS or via system software?
If needed, please share an image of the BIOS main page along with the temperature readings and workload shown in system software across different BIOS versions, and also provide detailed hardware specifications, slot configurations, any manual adjustments in the BIOS, and fan setup.
A video recording that captures the usage scenario and temperature changes would also help us better understand your setup.
Thank you.

Hi Joazzz_Rog I solved the problem by myself, it was the 4001 update that caused me that problem, for the problem with the 13/14 Intel processors, even if I didn't understand why I have a 12th generation they changed the values for me too, but now I solved it and it's fine, thank you anyway for your efforts
