Hi, Everyone!
This evening I purchased the ROG Strix Z790F as above. I purchased an i9 14900K. After installation (not my first rodeo), I plugged it in and only my mouse had power.
I updated the BIOS through the BIOS port on the back. I can't get into the system because my keyboard won't work. I've tried other keyboards to no avail. My monitor shuts itself off.
If I turn the monitor on, it will briefly show an ASUS screen, go to a blue screen, then completely shutdown. The keyboards never work.
I've never had this issue before. Does anyone have an idea? I've not been able to install Windows or anything due to no keyboard access. I only have the mouse, keyboard and monitor plugged in.
I un-installed my GPU (GTX 3060) wondering if that could help.
I should add nothing worked before I updated the BIOS either. As well, the monitor and keyboard worked earlier today on my old, similar build. I've also installed a new M2 SSD.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kimi

Hello @Its_Kimi
Thank you for reaching out to us.
May I confirm if you have updated to the latest BIOS version 1801, released on December 6, 2024? Are you able to boot into the system after clearing CMOS?
Regarding the blue screen, could you please provide the error code displayed on the screen?
We recommend referring to [Windows 11/10] Troubleshooting - Blue Screen Errors in Windows (BSOD) guide for further troubleshooting steps.
Additionally, please try removing all SSDs or HDDs, and test whether you are able to enter the BIOS with only the i9-14900K installed, using the integrated graphics, a single RAM module in the DIMM_A2 slot, and with the CPU cooler and PSU connected.
Furthermore, based on your description of the monitor shutting down, please test different display connection methods (DP or HDMI), ensure the monitor's power is properly connected, or try a different monitor.
Thank you.
