Hello,
the following thing happened: The pump of the AIO of my friend died. I found out while i was updating bios on a X670E hero.
So the pc shut down while updating bios, completely in the middle. I don't know how bad the damage is because the pc keeps shutting off (CPU get too hot, i know). So i am organizing another cooler and then i need to unbrick the board.
I am writing because i think it's badly bricked. After the bios fail it only showed Code 07 with red light for a long time. But as i said, I can't let it run for some minutes, its shutting down, i need to organize a cooler.
Whats really concerning is the bios flashback button. It's not doing anything aynmore. No blue flashing, its just dead.
Clearing the physical CMOS battery isn't necessary anymore right? i have the clear cmos button right nex to the bios flashback button.
I know i can't do aynthing right now, but maybe someone can help me with what i really need to do next.
Thanks

Hello @SsX1337
We apologize for the delayed response due to the recent local holiday.
Regarding the issue you described, where the red Q-LED indicator lights up and the system fails to boot, along with the Q-code 07 from the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO manual indicating "AP initialization after microcode loading," both may point to a potential CPU issue during boot.
We recommend that you check if the CPU is installed correctly, ensuring there are no bent pins, and confirm that thermal paste has been applied.
Additionally, refer to page 2-3 of the manual for instructions on proper installation of the cooling device.
If needed, please cross-test with a different CPU or CPU fan to rule out any potential issues and ensure that all other hardware on the motherboard is also correctly installed.
