My GPU is only using one PCIe lane out of 16 on my ASUS A320M-R.
I have an ASUS #A320M-R #motherboard, Ryzen 5 #2400G (Vega 11), and a Gigabyte P106-100. I tested the GPU in another PC, and it works with all 16 PCIe lanes. However, in my setup, it's only utilizing one la
I’ve changed various BIOS settings extensively but nothing helped. My goal is to use the GPU for rendering while outputting the display via the integrated graphics on the CPU. I’ve also disconnected all SATA drives except for one and removed all USB devices, but the GPU still only runs on one lane. Interestingly, the integrated graphics seem to be working on PCIe 3.0 with all 16 lanes.
I suspect that the motherboard chipset might not be handling all SATA connections properly. The GPU has no video output. Can anyone provide some technical insights into why this might be happening or suggest a solution? I've been struggling with this for a couple of weeks

Hello @PaulTechM
We apologize for the delayed response due to the recent local holiday.
May I inquire if the situation you described occurred following any recent changes, such as a BIOS update or the connection of an external device?
Could you please confirm if your current BIOS version is in the latest 6223?
Are you using any extension cables or adapters to connect the GPU? If so, we recommend removing them, directly installing the GPU onto the motherboard, and clearing CMOS to check again. Or you could try cross-testing with another GPU.
If the above suggestions don't resolve the issue, please share screenshots showing the GPU status showing PCIEx1 in your system along with the following information to help us better understand the situation:
- the image of BIOS main page and all the manually adjusting items in BIOS
- the brand, model, and installation slots or ports of the CPU, GPU, RAM (part number well), SSD/HDD, and PSU
- are there any extensions or adapters used to connect any devices, such as GPU or SSD?
- the OS version and OS build
