Dear ASUS ROG Product Team:
I would like to submit a suggestion for the next generation of high-end Intel motherboards, focusing specifically on the hypothetical "ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z990 EXTREME" for the future Intel Nova Lake (LGA1954) platform.
Key Features and Design Priorities:
1. Connectivity and Storage:
2x "PCIEX16(G5)" ports, and 8x M.2 ports (6x M.2 ports, and 2x DIMM.2 ports, with ALL of them being PCIe 5.0), of which ONLY 1x port (the hypothetical "M.2_6" port) will share bandwidth with "PCIEX16(G5)".
2. I/O Technology:
Native support for Thunderbolt 5 on multiple rear ports to offer maximum high-speed peripheral and display connectivity.
3. Overclocking:
A robust and oversized VRM (Voltage Regulator Module) solution, optimized for extreme and sustained overclocking of high-end Nova Lake CPUs. For example: 26+2+1+1 phase design, or higher.
4. Cooling:
Integration of advanced features such as industrial-grade heatsinks to effectively manage next-generation power consumption, including an industrial-grade heatsink plate for the M.2 ports.
Thank you for considering this input for the flagship ASUS ROG motherboard line.
