FLBK (Flashback) LED blink, computer no boot

Hello,

i have a problem with my z790-f i've had for 2 years with no issues but this day i pressed the power button and nothing was happening.

I noticed that the BIOS flashback light is constantly blinking green, which was not the case before. And if I turn the power off, turn it back on, and press the power button very quickly before the light starts blinking, my computer boots normally.

I tried a lot of thing, but it seems like this flbk button is broken and try flash my bios every time my computer is off.

A lot of people have this problem with z790 series, here some posts with video but no one had issues better than desolder the button... or return the motherboard :

Same issue here with the B650E itx. It somehow fixed itself for a couple of days and then started again. After a BIOS update, the problem was gone again for 1 day and started again. Now I am lost about what to do. I had already had a chat with ASUS support, but their solution was always the same. CMOS restart with button and battery, BIOS update, and so on... but nothing helped so far.  I hope Asus gets the issue resolved

Hello @Zharafield

Thank you for reaching out to us and apologies for missing this thread.
The BIOS Flash indicator light will only flash during the BIOS update process. You may find relevant instructions in [Motherboard] How to use USB BIOS FlashBack™?
Based on your description, if you have already ensured that all power cables are properly connected, the CPU is correctly installed without any bent pins, and there are no issues such as an overly loose or tight installation, yet the system still fails to power on even with minimal components connected, we recommend considering a repair service for further diagnostics.
Additionally, I have DM you. Please check your inbox in the upper right corner at your convenience.

Thank you.
