Every since i upgraded to the ASUS TUF GAMING B650 Plus Wifi Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 9 7900x and 2x32gb G.skill Flare X5 RAM (F5-6000J3040G32GX2-FX). I've had nothing but bluescreens, crashes and windows repairs. My pc also has a RTX 2060 super & Corsair 750W Gold Power Supply. Windows is installed on M2 NVMe.
Here's a list of all BSOD's i have gotten:
UNEXPECTED KERNAL MODE TRAP, KERNEL SECURUTY FAILURE, PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA - what failed: CLFS.SYS , MEMORY MANAGEMENT , CACHE_MANAGER, PFN_LIST_CORRUPT, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 3x - What failed: ntfs.sys, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED 2x
Since i had nobody to help me i digged into minidumps and found these files to be the causes of those BSOD's:
nvlddmkm.sys, nt 4x / ntkrnlmp.exe, dxgmms2.sys, bam.sys, Ntfs.sys, dxgmms2.sys, AuthenticAMD.sys.
As of right now i'm still totally clueless on what is causing all this but so far i have:
- Checked CPU/GPU Temps, which looked good
- Did several RAM Tests which overall performed great, Just one software found an error once.
- Tried reseating RAM Sticks in different slots and 1 at a time, seemed to make no difference.
- Experience the worst BSOD's with EXPO enabled or 2 slots of ram inside, which aren't listed on ASUS QVL but are listed on G.Skill QVL for my specific motherboard.
- Freshly installed windows several times, wiped everything multiple times, completely fresh windows with no other disks connected at all times during BSOD's.
Please Help!

Hello @101danny101
Due to the ongoing local holidays in our area, our response time may experience delays.
We apologize for any inconvenience the delayed replies may have caused.
May I ask if your current BIOS is in the latest version 3035?
If clearing CMOS and booting with the default BIOS settings, which means no EXPO, CPU overclocking, or other manual adjustments are enabled, does the BSOD issue still persist?
Does the BSOD occur immediately after booting into the system, or does it happen after using the system for a certain period, such as after playing a specific game for 15 minutes?
Regarding the error codes, you may also verify the error codes using Windows troubleshooting and refer to the associated guidelines, such as:
Bug Check 0x34: CACHE_MANAGER
Bug Check 0x7E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Bug Check 0x4E: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
However, some are related to memory, and the currently installed 6000J3040G32GX2-FX is not listed in the TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI Memory QVL for the AMD Ryzen 9 series CPUs.
We recommend reviewing the TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI user manual to ensure all hardware components—including memory, CPU (please check for bent pins), PSU, hard drive connections, and other fans—are correctly installed.
Additionally, please verify on the TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI support site whether both the BIOS and related drivers are updated to the latest versions, and clear CMOS before checking if the BSOD issue continues.
If necessary, consider cross-testing with the memory listed in the QVL.
Thank you.
