I've had my Z690-E for a while now and decided to do some updates including BIOS ME (17 updates behind) and decided to do the chipset update too. I think ASUS has not done a very good job documenting this process. For example, under the "Chipset" category, there are downloads for a plethora of things including "Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology", "Intel Serial", "Intel GNA", "Intel ME ", "Intel DTT", and then finally "Intel Chipset driver "
Questions like: Do I need them all? Are they all the same or just named differently? How to verify what's already installed without downloading many different apps? Unfortunately, there appears to be lacking support here, or maybe it's just me.
Let's go with Intel Chipset Driver. You can see in the screenshot below that it's buried 5 items deep. Okay, let's download it.
After extraction. Which one do I click on? Setup Asus? Or setup Chipset?
Oh hang on, there's an English documentation. Let's see what it has to say...
Wait wait wait.. I have to install what? Something designed for windows well over 14 years old?
I don't get it. I guess I'm not better than Armory Crate.... LOL

Hello @CaliROG
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Regarding the significant gap between your current BIOS version and the latest release, we recommend updating incrementally in smaller steps until reaching the latest version.
For driver updates, you can simply download and install the latest version for each driver. Refer to the following two FAQs, which explain how to locate and run [AsusSetup.exe] or [Setup.exe] after downloading the driver:
[Motherboard] How to install motherboard drivers and utilities?
[Motherboard] How to download and install LAN driver from ASUS Download Center
If you have concerns about any specific driver, could you share the version of the device driver and provide related details?
Thank you.
