The noise is driving me crazy now. Can I disable it physically? I do not game and only 1 M.2 slot is used. PC is not used for Gaming anymore or pushed hard.

Hello, @sujit60
Could you please clarify if this issue occurred after the PC was first built or after using it for some time and occurred following any recent changes, such as a BIOS update or component replacement?
Does the noise from the PCH fan affect your usage consistently after booting, or only in specific scenarios?
If it doesn't always occur, we suggest observing the correlation between usage scenarios and fan noise.
Also, kindly consider updating to the latest BIOS version and clearing the CMOS if necessary, then check again.
Alternatively, try manually adjusting fan speeds using Armoury Crate or Fan Xpert 4.

Thanks a lot for this.
1. Issue started recently - after about 4 years of use. No changes to software / firmware
2. Noise from PCH starts on boot up and remains constant. There was absolutely no noise before.
3. Will update to latest bios - must admit, mine is old about 2019
4. Armoury / Xpert 4 does not have PCH Fan setting. Could this be because the Bios is old?

Hello, @sujit60
May I ask if you have referred to the FAQs I provided earlier?
You might consider updating the BIOS and downloading AI Suite 3 to further check the Fan Xpert 4 settings.
Thank you.

Hi @Jiaszzz_ROG
Many thanks. I have read the FAQ and have downloaded the latest version of AI Suite 3. It still does not show the PCH Fan. What I have overlooked is that I have an old version of BIOS - ver 1201. I will update the BIOS and try again. I am hopeful that it will work.
