I am a biomedical engineer so fixing crap is usually my specialty. I have called ASUS tech support twice, been on hold for 45 minutes, and spoke on the phone for 2 hours and they never even got to my issue. They just kept asking basic troubleshooting questions and verifying my hardware.
I am getting, under device manager, a Raid Controller driver showing "not updated" and I cannot find the driver. I have downloaded every driver off of asus website, I have downloaded Armoury Crate and updated all drivers, and I have ensured I have the most up to date bios version. I have XMP profile enabled but verified the issue happened without it as well on default bios settings.
My computer will be running great then it will randomly have both of my displays go black, my game will crash, and so will my audio software (steelseries) and OBS, if I am streaming at the time. This usually happens when I play any game on steam. My Games and OBS and sound will not stop crashing, multiple times a day
please help! asus tech support has just held me on the phone for 3 hours now at this point and they havent even asked for that error code or done any troubleshooting besides, "have you checked your temps, have you checked for viruses"? YES THE COMPUTER has been rebuilt TWICE from scratch to include new OS downloads and reconnecting all connections. I just need someone who knows anything to help. When I call tech support I expect a tech support specialist with knowledge, not someone who reads from a script and can't comprehend anything I am asking.

Hello @30andNerdy
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you please clarify if this issue occurred after the PC was first built or after using it for some time and occurred following any recent changes, such as a BIOS update or component replacement?
What are the current BIOS, OS, and OS build versions, and do you have RAID configured?
Could you please provide more details on the "CPU blue screened" description?
If your system initially runs smoothly but later becomes unstable and crashes, does it automatically shut down and restart, or does the application simply crash and return to the desktop?
We recommend referring to the ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI II user manual to ensure all hardware is properly installed, including checking whether the CPU pins are bent, if the installation is too loose or too tight, and whether the memory is in the recommended slots.
Please check if there is a need for a BIOS update and clearing CMOS before reassessing the situation.
Also, consider resetting the system and keeping your files, then test the setup again.
Thank you.
