I have the same issue on 2 different motherboards, both ASUS, one Intel and one AMD
ROG STRIX Z690-F - Intel
ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI - AMD
There is a 1-2 second delay when selecting shutdown menu, systems are ok apart from this issue.
The only thing I can think of is that they both use the same Audio Chip the ALC4080.
I have used latency mon and there is nothing that is obvious showing a high latency event. Just a random 1-2 second delay.
No overclocking or anything on either system. Just stock setting with XMP.
I have uninstalled Armoury create and reinstalled windows on both systems and never installed Armoury Crate but this issue remains.
I have also updated all drivers to the latest including the latest Audio Drivers linked in the ASUS forum which are newer than the ones on the ASUS motherboard downloads page. This did not help.
Would be good to get a resolution to this as its quite frustrating.
Is anyone else experiencing something similar? Does someone know how to fix this?

Experiencing this same issue with ROG Strix Z790-H. Other persons reported this issue specifically with ROG boards here . The solution was to uninstall Sonic Studio software which worked for me until Asus fixes this software issue.

I have uninstalled the sonic software but the problem remains 😞
It’s not a huge issue but it should not be happening.

Can you try removing Sonic Radar as well and then do a restart?

I removed all sonic software and rebooted but no luck!

I actuallly missed something sonic related so uninstalled that as well. Problem is fixed on the Ryzen system. When I plug in the Intel one again soon I will update here 🙂
Thanks for your help with this.

Great! Now we just have to wait on Asus and Nahimic to fix these bugs before we can use the Sonic Suite again. 😑

I think we may be waiting a long time! I hope not though 😅

I had the same issue with a ROG Strix B660i motherboard with an Intel 12th Gen CPU. Uninstalling Sonic Studio and Sonic Radar fixed it for me. I originally found the solution on the Microsoft website (link above), however thanks for posting it here too.
