Hello everyone. I cannot activate or deactivate the Sata ports individually on my Dark Hero VIII. I can only do it for all of them at the same time, but that doesn't help me. I can only set the hot plug option for each Sata port, but not deactivate it completely. I want to install and test different versions of Windows, but I don't want them to "know" about other OSes.
My old Asus Prime can do it and I would be very surprised if the much better and much more expensive one no longer has this option.
My system:
AMD AM4 5950X
32 GB DDR4
Asus Rog 3080 RTX
I hope someone was able to solve the problem or find out whether this is generally not offered. Unfortunately, Asus Support has not yet provided me with an answer. Thank you in advance.

Hello @MomoMorty
Thank you for reaching out to us, and sorry for any inconvenience caused by the delayed response.
Could you kindly confirm your current BIOS version, as well as which SATA devices are installed and which SATA ports on the motherboard they are connected to?
Thank you.

Hi Jiaszzz,
thank you very much for your reply and feedback.
My current BIOS version is 4902 (see screenshot).
The SATA port assignment is:
SATA 1: SSD
SATA 2: SSD
SATA 3: not connected
SATA 4: SSD
SATA 5: SSD
SATA 6: SSD
SATA 7: not connected
SATA 8: not connected
I have also attached a screenshot of the upper part of the SATA BIOS settings, which shows that the options for deactivating the individual SATA ports are not available.
Only the hot-plug option can be disabled.
