I have a X870E hero motherboard and i have had a terrible experience with it. I am trying to get the audio software install properly but all that installs is the driver. I never get the Realtek audio console so i can select outputs and audio modes. Windows see it, but the only audio out mode i get from that is 2 channel even through the S/pdif. I had to resort to the on board audio. I have a soundblaster ae5 plus that i really like and had it installed in the second pci slot. This was causing issues with the motherboard and pcie. I believe the issues are mostly firmware issue that have yet to be resolved. I still get PCIE PEX errors counting up but it doesnt affect gaming as much as when the sound card was installed. I have tried about every "fix" out there. I really regret buying this board at this point, and if your on the fence jump off this thing is beta level in my opinion. I just really want to try and get the on board audio working at this point and that has also been a nightmare.
