CPU Power Phase Control issue

Hello guys! I have a Maximus XI Extreme paired with a 9900KS. The other specs are TridentZ Royal 3200 CL14 ram, Seasonic Prime Titanium 850W, Aorus Liquid Cooler 360... Anyway my PC has always been in desync with games like CSGO and i can see the same thing with Counter-Strike 2 so I'm just trying to fix this. The thing is when i set CPU Power Phase Control to Standard the PC reboots itself within 1-2 minutes of being on Desktop, if i open a game it doesn't. It also doesn't show a bluescreen which is odd. Are there any other settings i need to change in order for this to work properly?

If there is anyone that can help me with the desync issue i greatly appreciate it, was thinking of setting cpu power phase manually but i don't know any regular values. I narrowed it down to this paired with audio...

Hello @derril

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you clarify if the sync problem refers to the audio and video being out of sync, or if it pertains to stuttering or choppiness in either the audio or video?
Did this issue first occur with the newly built PC, or after any specific hardware or software changes, such as installing a new CPU or updating the OS? Have you noticed any difference if you adjust the CPU Power Phase Control from Standard to Manual or Extreme mode?
If the BIOS has not yet been updated to the latest version 2004, we recommend performing the update and clearing CMOS, before checking again if the issue persists with the default BIOS settings, as this will help isolate any potential instability in the configuration.
Additionally, stuttering may also be affected by network stability or game server issues. Could you confirm if the relevant drivers provided on the ROG MAXIMUS XI EXTREME support page have been updated?
We also recommend ensuring that the CPU is properly installed, with no bent pins or improper installation (either too loose or too tight), and checking if additional thermal paste is required.

Thank you.

Hello @Jiaszzz_ROG thanks for the reply. The issue consists in stuttering whenever some audio is happening and it is stuttering and choppiness even if i call it desync. Even sliding the volume button from taskbar i hear crackling/pop first seconds and yes i have done all the regular disable fast boot hibernation i also went much further and tried the registry changes for PowerSettings "ConverstionIdleTime" and "PerformanceIdleTime", i also know some old drivers need "ff ff ff ff" and newer use "00 00 00 00" anything there is to try i probably already did.

I also tried disabling the audio from BIOS and used a usb dac and a pci sound blaster, both tests were done properly by resetting cmos and new windows installs. Yes i already tried all bios and drivers versions, i also tried to match dates of bios and drivers i tried older bios with older drivers and newer bios with newer drivers (crazy but had to do it) pretty much every combination you can think of. I have reseated everything 3 times, the cpu is properly seated and there are no bent pins i even checked with a magnifier glass.

How do i know it's a sound related issue? About 10 days ago i was changing settings for the billionth time and i had a breakthrough. I have set CPU Power Phase Control to Standard and then i went to Windows to continue trying drivers, specifically i was installing an older version of the Realtek audio (Version 6.0.1.8960). The pc rebooted itself before the driver was fully installed which honestly never happened before so i let it sit on desktop without doing anything and it rebooted again then i understood it was the cpu power phase control so i went back to bios and changed it to auto or optimal i'm not sure. Then i opened up CS2 and guess what, for the first time in years i have seen my PC running properly as it should, everything felt perfect, image was smooth, no more stuttering like crazy whenever something happens etc. I rebooted a few times just to make sure it's not a placebo but yes the difference was mind blowing. Second day i was trying to get the old windows photo viewer back and i opened the wrong .reg file and i messed it up again, dumbest thing i ever did...

This is a long read i know i just want you to understand how i specifically know it's the audio driver and not a hardware issue per se. Yes ofc i already tried fresh windows install and the same driver i even tried to reproduce the reboot while the same driver installs and no it seems to not be the same. What i do remember is that when it worked well, even though i could not open Realtek Audio Console and Sonic Studio 3 the audio enhancements were on. In case you are wondering i also tried to disable nahimic service, tried setting priority to the 3 services in runs in backround NahimicService, NahimicSvc32, NahimicSvc64 to both low and high, also tried it with A-Volute even killing each process one by one and between reinstalls i do properly clean the drivers using driver store explorer and removing any leftovers from AppData like NhNotifSys.

I am not gonna say weird things like other people, i don't need revenge i just want to fix this issue. What bugs me is that even though i disable on board audio from bios, somehow it still interferes with the other solutions i tried. Other thing i want to ask which i can't find in the manual, does my motherboard happen to use -12V rail for audio? I forgot to mention it's not a network issue i have 2 separate fiber connections and this PC sits alone on the network and wifi is off from the router.
