I've tried every combo of bios settings and hardware configs I can think of. What am I missing here? All drives are 3.0. CPU is Ryzen 5950X.

Hello @Atomicat
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you please clarify if this issue occurred after the PC was first built or after using it for some time and occurred following any recent changes, such as a BIOS update or component replacement?
May I ask if your current BIOS version is the latest 3607 and whether you have tried clearing CMOS or cross-testing the M.2 slots?
We recommend referring to the steps in [Motherboard] Troubleshooting - Cannot find the hard disk drive or SSD (M.2) after motherboard power....
Also, please avoid using any extension cables or adapters to connect the M.2 SSD when troubleshooting.
If needed, please try cross-testing with another SSD.
Thank you.

Hi @Atomicat do you have a question or are you making a statement?
According to your motherboard manual your board only has 2 M.2 slots so yes it cannot support 3 M.2 drive. See your board manual at https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/ROG_STRIX_B550-XE_GAMING_WIFI/E17342_ROG_STRIX_B550-... and for all your boards manual at https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b550-xe-gaming-wifi-model/helpdesk_manual/

Slight misunderstanding. I'm talking about getting three drives working on the Hyper M.2 card. The first PCI slot has settings for Raid (which splits it to 8x,8x) and 8x,4x,4x. If you look at the FAQ, scrolling down to the section on B550 boards, it does seem to indicate that it can handle three drives.

Hi @Atomicat thank you for providing this additional clarification. I believe you are talking about
In this case, you will get 3 drives recognized only if the 1st PCIEX16_1 slot is given 16 lanes. This means your PCIEX16_2 slot should be empty. Is that the case for you?
Also your processor is going to support PCIe GEN 4 drives since you don't have a G series processor. Which HYPER M.2 Card are you using? Is it the GEN 3 or GEN4 Card?
