Hello,
I just purchased a new motherboard (ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI) and a new CPU (AMD Ryzen 9800X3D). I have been unable to boot windows from my M2 drive or USB with windows installation media, but i can get into the bios. My system freezes when i try to change anything in the boot menu or if i don't quickly get into the bios. I don't know what to do, could my CPU be faulty? I hope you have some suggestions.

Hello @Peter-Thor
Thank you for reaching out to us.
May I ask what your current BIOS version is and the specific slot in which the SSD is installed on the motherboard?
Fast Boot is typically used in conjunction with UEFI boot mode. If your system is set to Windows UEFI mode but no OS is installed, it may result in startup issues or failure to boot.
We recommend disabling Fast Boot, clearing CMOS, and then following the steps outlined in [Motherboard] How to install Windows 11? to install the OS.
If you are encountering issues with the SSD not being recognized, please refer to [Motherboard] Troubleshooting - Cannot find the hard disk drive or SSD (M.2) after motherboard power.... Additionally, if necessary, you may cross-test with another SSD or try a different M.2 slot to further isolate the issue.
Thank you.

Hi Jiaszzz,
It is currently using using the latest bios update, version 0804 i think it is named. The SSD is installed in the first slot, the one with the quick release feature. I have tried disabling fast boot, clearing the CMOS and tried other ssd slots.
I have taken my system to a local technician and hoping for a positive response in the new year.

Hello @Peter-Thor
Thank you for your response.
Since you have already submitted it for repair, we recommend that you wait for the repair center's subsequent diagnosis or further assistance.
If you encounter any difficulties or concerns, please feel free to DM me with the serial number of your motherboard and detailed context at any time.
Thank you.

Hi again @Jiaszzz_ROG
I got my pc back from the repair and he said that it was a ram problem, so i got some new ram which is compatible with the motherboard, but the issue still persist. I am going to contact him again as he stated the problem would be resolved with new ram and get him to look at it again. Btw which details do you need besides the serial number of the board?
regards Peter

Hello @Peter-Thor
May I ask what explanation was provided by the local technician or reseller regarding your situation?
Additionally, if you remove all the drives, the graphics card, and other peripherals, leaving only the 9800X3D CPU installed on the motherboard, along with integrated graphics for video output, a single RAM module in the DIMM_A2 slot, the CPU fan, and the PSU, can the system boot into the BIOS after clearing CMOS?
Thank you.

Hello @Peter-Thor
Could you confirm if the system can successfully boot without any BIOS configuration changes? What specific BIOS settings have been modified?
If the issue is related to memory overclocking, it is indeed possible that it could lead to system instability.
We recommend selecting memory from the QVL when building your PC, as ASUS has verified these modules to ensure optimal stability and compatibility with the motherboard.
Please refer to [Motherboard] How to query (CPU/memory) QVL List? and ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI memory QVL if needed.
If your PC was assembled with the assistance of a reseller, you may confirm the necessary settings and usage scenarios with them and ensure the system functions correctly before bringing it back for use.
Thank you.

Hi @Jiaszzz_ROG
I am sadly still unable to boot, i just tried a CMOS reset again and the a attempt at booting, but without any luck. Could it be a TPM issue or i am way off?
The new ram and CPU for that matter is on the list. The new ram is CMP64GX5M2B6000Z30
