Can I use A1 and B1 instead of A2 and B2 for two RAM sticks on ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING?

Hi Everyone,

I was having trouble seating my RAM sticks in my new ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F gaming mobo, and alas, the RAM clip snapped off. I don't know that I can use B2 at this point.

Will the mobo function normally if I use A1 and B1 instead?

Also, can I use two 48GB sticks instead of two 32GB sticks? Current RAM is two 32GB GSkills sticks running at 6000, considering two 48GB Kingston sticks running at 5600.

Thoughts and suggestions much appreciated!

You will need to use the designated slots A2 and B2.

I’d opt for the 24gb m-die, as these love frequency. Depends if you really need the 96GB.
