Hi Everyone,
I was having trouble seating my RAM sticks in my new ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F gaming mobo, and alas, the RAM clip snapped off. I don't know that I can use B2 at this point.
Will the mobo function normally if I use A1 and B1 instead?
Also, can I use two 48GB sticks instead of two 32GB sticks? Current RAM is two 32GB GSkills sticks running at 6000, considering two 48GB Kingston sticks running at 5600.
Thoughts and suggestions much appreciated!
Gordon

Hi @GordonR
You will need to use the designated slots A2 and B2.

Thank you, @Silent_Scone, I appreciate it. Do you have any thoughts on or experience with running 48GB rather than 32GB RAM sticks on that motherboard? Thank you again for your response to my question.

I’d opt for the 24gb m-die, as these love frequency. Depends if you really need the 96GB.
