C:\ProgramData\ASUS\QCNF\ManualRead.bin written/deleted thousands of times an hour.

I have an ASUS motherboard, why does my computer now create and delete this empty file hundreds of times a minute?

If you use something like voidtools Everything to see what files are being created on your Windows machine, you will see this file constantly at the top of the list, it's created, empty and deleted and replaced over and over hundreds of times a minute, several times a second, burning SSD writes.

What is this file for and why are the drivers for "QCNF" so poorly written that this file exists at all?

Hello @dioq
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you kindly provide the model of your motherboard, the BIOS version, as well as the OS version and build number you are currently on?
If Armoury Crate is installed, does the described issue persist after using the Armoury Crate uninstall tool to remove it?
We recommend ensuring that the BIOS, all related drivers, and software (including Armoury Crate) are downloaded from the official website and updated to their latest versions.
If the issue persists, please share more detailed information about your hardware and software configuration, such as the SSD model and firmware version, along with screenshots of Armoury Crate update center and any error messages or relevant results to help us better understand your situation.

Thank you.

Motherboard: ProArt X670E-Creator WIFI (Rev 1.xx), Bios 1415 (05/16/2023)

Armory Crate: 5.9.9.0

Windows 11 24H2 26100.2454

I'm not uninstalling Armory Crate because I'll lose my fan curves and it's time consuming installing and setting it up again as I know from experience.

Hello @dioq

Thank you for providing the information.
Could you please specify what hardware or software changes occurred that led to this issue, such as an Armoury Crate update?
To further investigate your situation, please record and provide the relevant logs so that we can verify it in more detail.
For log operation steps, please refer to "Q5: What is App Diagnostics? (New Feature)" and ensure that you have confirmed and checked the "Record Log" option before proceeding with the steps to replicate the issue.
And kindly record a video simultaneously and provide it to us, allowing us to better correlate the log with the actual scenario.
After recording the log and video, please upload it to the cloud, approve access, and DM me the link.

Meanwhile, please share the requested information below as well.
- the contents of BIOS settings (or whether they are default)
- the brand and model name of the CPU, DRAM, GPU, and PSU currently installed
- the SSD/HDD model and firmware version

Please help compile the above information and I will forward it to the relevant departments for further investigation.
