Bought used motherboard with serial number sticker removed. How do I get the serial number?

Motherboard is a Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) if that helps anything. ASUS guides seem to assume the sticker is already there.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Jiaszzz_ROG

I would like to know the serial number of the unit in case I need to RMA the board. I already had an issue earlier this year where I thought the board was bricked, but luckily the issue was resolved with the retry boot button on the board. I just want to have my bases covered in case I don't get as lucky next time.

Is there a way to RMA the board without a serial number, but proof of purchase?

Thank you in advance.

Hello, @Ubiquity

Please refer to How to find Product Serial Number, and if the specified locations in the guidelines are unable to help confirm the serial number of your motherboard, we recommend reaching out to the original purchaser for further verification.

Thank you.

@Jiaszzz_ROG I mentioned the motherboard does not have the sticker on it, hence those guidelines do not apply to me.

Reaching out to the original purchaser is not an option for me as this is a used motherboard purchased from Amazon that was actually supposed to be a Dark Hero. I was scammed (bait and switch) and whoever perpetrated this scam was smart enough to remove the serial number sticker.

What are my other options here?

Hello, @Ubiquity

May I inquire about the specific need you currently have that requires confirmation of the product serial number?
If you have any concerns related to purchasing second-hand items, we recommend reaching out to the original purchaser or Amazon for further clarification.

Thank you.

Hello, @Ubiquity

Regarding the warranty policy for the motherboard, we have the following limitations:

At the same time, whether within or outside the warranty period, products without a serial number will not be eligible for repairs.

Thank you.
