Booting Error, POST 00, Maximus XII Formula

Hi,

I built this computer about 2 years ago and am just now running into this issue. The problem is pretty inconsistent but I’ve hit a dead end. I was playing game and walked away to go get lunch and came back to my computer having black screen. At first I thought it was just asleep and then after trying to turn it on, it showed an error code 00 and then the code would disappear and it would just say CPU. I tried doing a bios flashback and that did not work, tried clearing CMOS, that also didn’t work. The only thing I’ve done recently to the pc is move my graphics card from slot 2 to 1 (I was an idiot when I first built it). I can’t think of anything else to do.

Hi @Hoffdogger

Please try the following

1. Ensure all power cables are correctly inserted including ESP12V connectors and ATX-24 pin.

2. Remove the CPU cooler and CPU and inspect the CPU pin pad and CPU for any debris or damage.

3. Reseat the CPU and cooler whilst ensuring for even mounting pressure as per the cooling vendors guidelines

4. Remove DRAM and insert one memory module into DIMM slot A2
