Boot loop issue with Asus Z690 Formula and i7 14700KF

Hello, here's my setup:

- ASUS ROG Z690 Formula motherboard
- i7-14700KF processor
- 2x32GB Corsair Dominator RAM, 5200MHz
- High-end 1200W Thermaltake power supply
- Up-to-date BIOS

All components are new, except for the motherboard, which is used.

- My case is fully open, so there's no overheating
- My cooling system is efficient (CPU hot spot at 90°C max after 30 minutes of Cinebench 2024), so there's no CPU throttling. - My BIOS is the latest v4301 update (also Intel ME)
- Default BIOS: F5 key
- I tried with a single RAM stick instead of two, I tried all four slots
- I tried with the minimum number of peripherals connected
- I tried with a different graphics card
- 24-pin power connectors + the other two 8-pin connectors connected
- My RAM is on the motherboard manufacturer's recommended list
- I tried with or without XMP for the RAM frequency
- I used the Intel diagnostic tool and no anomalies were detected on my CPU
- I've never overclocked the CPU (new)

My system is very unstable, the machine has trouble booting, and when I get to Windows, I experience sudden shutdowns without necessarily even using the machine.

A reboot follows, which sometimes even loops, freezing before the BIOS even displays. (See the video below, YouTube link.)

And strangely, when I apply a negative voltage between -0.025V and -0.125V to the CPU, miraculously, it boots! But again, I still have an unstable system.

Do you think the motherboard is dead? For me, it might be a voltage circuit problem, or maybe I'm missing a parameter in the BIOS?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

For those interested, il resolved the problem. By myself 🙂

The motherboard was sending way too much power to the cpu at startup, causing instability’s

So…this trick resolved the issue:

Advanced - CPU Configuration - CPU Power Management Control : Boot performance mode: Max Non-Turbo Performance

cheers everybody
