I have built a new pc and when booting from a shut down everything turns on but I remain at a black screen. This will not even display BIOS. I have tried reseating the memory, resetting the cmos and reseating the gpu.
The build is a 9800x3d, Asus rog strix 870-a WiFi motherboard, 2x32gb corsair vengeance titanium ram, a msi rtx 5070ti oc gpu and a 1000w power supply. The BIOS is version is currently 1104.
I found numerous posts stating that there is an issue with multiple motherboards where if the monitor isn't "On" then the computer will fail to past post. I was able to verify if I unplug the HDMI cable, boot and then plug in the HDMI I am fine. Once that's complete if I restart I am fine. Naturally unplugging my HDMI/DP cables each boot would be obnoxious.
Last night when it was running all temps were 34c for the processor and gpu so it shouldn’t be a heat issue. The only light for t/s on the motherboard are a green boot light and a white vga light.
Is there a clean way to fix this issue when booting from a shut down?

Hello @Drezlin27
Thank you for reaching out to us.
The appearance of the Q-LED indicator and no display suggests that an anomaly was detected during the POST process. We recommend referring to [Motherboard] ASUS motherboard troubleshooting via Q-LED indicators for related instructions.
Additionally, based on your description, the issue does not occur after disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable, which may indicate a potential issue with the HDMI cable, HDMI port, or monitor.
We recommend cross-testing with a different HDMI cable or using a DisplayPort cable to see if there is any difference, or if possible, please also test with another monitor to further isolate the issue.
Thank you.

I replaced the hdmi cable with a display port cable and changed to a newer monitor and that resolved the issue thanks!
