Bios upgrade problems?

sujit60

My X570-E Gaming board has a very old Bios - version 1201. I want to update to the latest one - version 5003.

I plan to update via a FAT32 USB Stick and using them Bios USB port and Bios update button.

Am I likely to face any issues please? Will I be able to revert back to an earlier version is something goes wrong?

Hello, @sujit60

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Regarding your current BIOS version 1201, it was released on October 7, 2019.
Due to the significant gap between your current version and the latest one, please consider updating gradually to the latest version.
For example, you can first update to version 1408, then proceed to 2802, followed by 3001, 4408, and finally to 5003.
Please note that updating with such a large version gap may prevent rolling back to older versions, and a failed update could result in an inability to boot.
Therefore, please back up your data before updating the BIOS.
For further guidance, please refer to the following FAQs:

Thank you.

Due to the local holidays, my responses may be slightly delayed.
For any urgent cases, we recommend reaching out to your local service center for further assistance. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Thanks.

Went into the Bios to see what the Internet bios update showed. It suggests update to 3001 (as you have suggested)
