bios update

Hello, I tried update the version of my asus rog maximus XII hero (wi-fi) from 2601 x64 to the latest version from the website 3201 I download it and rename in a formated fat32 usb stick as M12H.CAP but when the stick is in the bios usp port of my pc instead of continous blink blue for 2 to 5 minutes to update the bios, it turns after seconds in a solid blue color and I cannot update the bios. I tried more than one usb stick to be sure that the stick was not defected. Any idea? Thanks

by the way just to give a beter idea from the situation, I am trying update the bios in a pc without windows. There is a conflict that don't allow me install the windows and one of suggestions is because the bios is not updated. So there is no operation system in the pc.

Hello @Smilady

Thank you for reaching out to us.
May I ask if you have already updated the Intel ME firmware to version 14.1.75.2420 as required before updating the BIOS?

We recommend referring to the two FAQs linked below and suggest updating the BIOS gradually rather than skipping multiple versions in one step, as this can help reduce the risk of compatibility issues.
[Motherboard] Intel® Management Engine Firmware Update Instructions(ME)
[Motherboard] How to use USB BIOS FlashBack™?
For guidance on using BIOS FlashBack™, you may also refer to page 2-16 of the user manual and ensure that the USB drive you are using has a capacity of at least 1GB.

Thank you.
