On my motherboard there is a usb port with a white frame around it and a text that says Bios.
Can i use this port for a usb port since im low on extra usb ports.
I just bought this mini table fan that runs on usb power and i tryed to connect it to this port and it worked fine.
But is this safe to use as a usb power connection ? ?

Hello, @Psycrow
Thank you for your response.
The USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port marked with a BIOS outline on the rear panel of the ROG Maximus XIII Extreme functions the same as other USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports when not used for BIOS Flashback.
Thank you.

Hello, @Psycrow
Due to uncertainty about the exact model you are using, we'll take the ROG STRIX Z590-A GAMING WIFI as an example from the "[Motherboard] How to use USB BIOS FlashBack™?" video.
According to the ROG STRIX Z590-A GAMING WIFI user manual, the specifications for the rear panel include:
Based on the above FAQ, we can confirm that the designated port is used for BIOS FlashBack operations, while at other times it functions as a standard USB 2.0 port.
Could you please provide the complete model number of the motherboard you are currently using and detail any issues you have encountered during use?
Thank you.

Nice to see 🙂
I have a Asus rog Maximus extreme XIII
I connected the usb fan to the bios port and it worked fine but was just worried that it could damage the port.
So i wanted to know if its safe to use th ebios port as a usb power device.
