BIOS issues on ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI

Hello guys,

I wonder is anyone is experiencing the same problem.

I have my computer for several months and since then, number of BIOS releases were released. Im currently on version 0821. I tried every version released since then and always after the bios flash there is no boot.

Im pretty sure it is memory related (C5 q code). I have tried 3 memory kits (Team group, corsair and kingston). CMOS was cleared.

Even tho computer is running fine i find this really strange. After building and owning several computers i have never encoutered this, so if anyone can point me to some possible solution that would be great.

Many thanks.

Hello, @matkocore .

May I ask, if it cannot be turned on after updating the BIOS, what method to restart it?
Or after trying to update, it has never been successfully turned on again?
With ASUS EZ Flash 3, have you prepared a USB flash drive with a capacity of 1GB or more and require a single-sector USB flash drive in FAT16 or 32 MBR format?
Meanwhile, It is recommended that you cross-test the memory in the QVL list of the ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI.

Thank you.

Hello,

thanks for reply!

Right after the bios flash is 100% and computer restarts its only black screen with orange led and qcode C5.

I prepared the BIOS exactly as it is in the link. I did it many times so no issue there.

All 3 of the memory kits i tested are compatible and in  the QVL list for my motherboard.

Hello, @matkocore .

May I ask how you troubleshoot and restart the computer without rebooting after the flash? Or were you unable to boot normally until now?
Please provide detailed steps and details of the problem, and if possible, please provide a video that fully records the problem situation.
Moreover, we suggest that you install only one memory module during the BIOS update process.

Thank you.

Hello.

So after the bios updte computer restarts and it is only black screen with orange LED light and QCODE C5.

So after each time i tried the update with 3 differents memory kits. I tried different slots and 1 module only its alway the same outcome as I described at the start. I always had to flash the BIOS back to the version I have before.

Thanks

I got the excactly the same problem with my B650E-F..

No version after 0821 works!

Tried with Expo Off, tried q flash, tried with one memory stick....

Hello Philey,

Thanks a lot for response. So glad Im not the only one.

Just dont know what to do. Would be cool if we could get funded response from ASUS.

Or just RMA it.

Cheers

Yeah, I am going crazy with that mobo!

Funny thing is every BIOS before 0821 works fine. But I want a newer one for the better boot time 😕 Slowest booting PC ever..

Ah man.

First I had to swap the RAM could get the stable system with TG 6400MHZ.

And now this. I think im gonna RMA it and switch to X670E and different brand.

Its sad cuz im using the asus and mainly rog products for a long time without issue. But now this and month ago my Claymore 2 stopped working after year of using.

Hello, @Philey .

According to the official website of the ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI, the latest BIOS is 1413 and 1414 beta versions.
May I ask if you are currently experiencing that cannot be boot on after updating the BIOS? Are the steps to update the BIOS correct?
If not, please describe your problem in detail, including the current BIOS version, frequency and circumstances of the problem. If possible, please provide a video that fully documents the issue as it occurred.

Thank you.
