Hi!
I'm not able to power up the PC because BIOS Flashback randomly starts up while the PC is off, as if the button was pressed.
The problem is that not only does Flashback start on its own, but it also loops forever, preventing the PC from starting (the power button is disabled while the Flashback process is underway) UNLESS I manually press the Flashback button. This stops the infinite loop as the LED stops blinking and becomes solid green, indicating that Flashback failed (obviously, there is no USB Drive inserted) and the power button is re-enabled. The PC starts without issues then.
Flashback seems to start on its own at asbolutely random times. Sometimes it wouldn't start blinking for hours, other times it starts as soon as the PC is shut down.
If the LED is not blinking, I can replicate this exact behavior by keeping the Flashback button pressed. So it looks like the switch is getting randomly shorted for some reason.
I tried different PSU, RAM, CPU. Also tried the motherboard with NOTHING attached to it except the 24 pin ATX connector, same issue. I also tried flashing different BIOS versions, both from inside the BIOS via EZ Flash, and with Flashback itself. Same issue.
I'm currently on the latest version, 3067. Motherboard is a Prime X670E-Pro WiFi. This started happening after I updated to 3042 a couple of months ago. The motherboard si 18 months old. There are many posts on this same forum and on Reddit with this same issue, and no one has managed to fix it.
Someone at ASUS should investigate the issue. I don't want to RMA the board for this, everything works perfectly as long as Flashback doesn't start on its own.
Thank you!

Hi, I have the same problem.
It started two days ago.
The flashback led flashes after power on, but the pc won't turn on.
The only way to turn on the computer is to turn off the power and press the power button within 1-2 seconds after turning on.
For a year the motherboard has worked flawlessly.

I have the same issue started couple days ago. I dont have a clue about opening pcs. Bought mine pre built. I was thinking maybe I pressed that BIOS FLBK by accident when cleaning. Computer is working fine once turned on. Same thing as the other comment I have to turn the I/O button in the back first then able to press the power button. Without pressing the I/O it wont turn on using the power button and the LED light is blinking after shutdown. If someone can advise how to fix. Pls do and thank you!

Hi!
Yesterday, twice, I managed to turn on my pc without any problems.
Recently I tried again , and again it only succeeded within 1-2 seconds after turning on the power supply, until the flashback led flashes.
I have no idea why it does it.A few minutes later I tried again and it started without any errors.
Randomly good or bad.
