Dear ASUS Support Center,
I have discovered a bug in the B650E-E STRIX motherboard.
After performing a BIOS update or clearing the CMOS, if I navigate to the Advanced menu and then go to the Main menu to change the language to Japanese, the system freezes completely.
This issue does not occur when selecting any language other than Japanese.
Furthermore, if I first configure the BIOS in English, save the settings, reboot, and then switch to Japanese, the problem does not occur. The freeze only happens when Japanese is selected during the initial BIOS startup.
Although this may be a rare issue, I kindly request that it be addressed in a future update.

Thank you for your reply.
I have confirmed this issue on BIOS versions 3208, 3222, and 3265.
The CPU in use is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D.

I’m using the G303SH. This issue doesn’t occur when the G303SH is connected via a wired connection. It only happens when using wireless.
And only when using Japanese. That’s all the information I can provide from my side. It’s truly strange.

Is this via RF or BT? Have you tried updating the firmware for the mouse and receiver via G-HUB
? This bug makes very little sense, for sure

It’s via RF. The firmware is up to date.

Additional note: I had someone with a nearly identical setup try it, but the issue did not occur. Therefore, it is likely that the problem arises only from a specific combination of factors. I will list both the environment where the issue occurred and where it didn’t. Since the issue occurs only when switching the language to Japanese, I believe the likelihood of a motherboard defect is very low.
[The environment where the issue occurred]
B650E-E STRIX

[The environment where the issue did not occur]

Thanks for the additional info. RD weren't able to replicate this problem, however.
Are you able to provide more contextual info to the specs?
Memory kit PN, SSD PNs, etc.

As a result of testing, the cause has been identified, so I’m reporting it. When using a Logitech mouse via wireless connection, the system freezes after performing an initial CMOS reset and then switching to Japanese. However, the system does not freeze when switching to languages other than Japanese under the same conditions. For reference, when switching to a wired connection and then resetting the CMOS and switching to Japanese, no freeze occurs. This freeze is very puzzling to me as well, but I appreciate your assistance.
① Using a wireless mouse:
After clearing the CMOS and switching the language to Japanese, a freeze occurs.
② Using a wired mouse:
After clearing the CMOS and switching the language to Japanese, no freeze occurs.
③ Using a wireless mouse:
After clearing the CMOS and switching the language to anything other than Japanese, no freeze occurs.

Hi @cave-fox
What is the PN / Model of the mouse? Does the same mouse work when wired? Very strange set of circumstances.
