It has been quite a while waiting for the BIOS with the LogoFail fix for the B550-E and B550-F Gaming Wifi boards-will one be coming?

Any end of the week updates? If they are just working on it, I think that will give many of us some relief.

No update, someone offcials from asus asked me two questions on another post
1- if still need the update
2- my serial number of motherboard

I sent the reply two days ago and still haven't got any answer.  Also... are they that disconnected to the reality?  I asked the question about bios update sunday and replied with a question asking if I still need it.  The situation is alarming since asus we all pay premium for their product.

Someone asked for x570 bios update and got asked the same question and got replied : "given the age of your product, we do not offer recent BIOS updates as this may render the motherboard inoperable in some cases"

not sure if it's true but that's really scary and people need to know about this

That's crazy, so some x570 and B550 owners get an update and some don't?  I expect better from ASUS.  As far as other brands,  Asrock and Gigabyte have done a better job with these AM4 boards.  Again, I'm no expert and understand sometimes these things take time but the lack of communication along with stories of ASUS just trying to bail is *hitty.  Just give us an expected time frame, talk to us.

Hello, @stitch , @jacktin and @trinergy_

I PMed you, could you please check your inbox in the top right corner?

Thank you.

Hello, @Tucson77

I have provided a response in the thread: LogoFAIL Exploit - X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero
To avoid redundancy, I will refrain from further replies in this thread.

For ASUS Consumer products, including consumer notebooks, gaming notebooks, and Ally, all of these product lines do not allow users to change the boot logo.
As a result, users do not need to worry about the potential security risks associated with this issue.
Nevertheless, even though the option to change the boot logo is not available, we are committed to optimizing and enhancing the mechanism to mitigate any potential risks associated with boot logo modifications.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Thank you @Jiaszzz_ROG !  I have replied to your PM.

Just following up on this...

Windows 11 Pro | ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI | AMD Ryzen 7800X3D | 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6400 | ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 4070 TI

Thanks Stitch, I saw that but am not willing to risk it.  Hopefully Silent_Scone  can get an answer.

I wasn't advocating for it-just pointing out that from a validation perspective that it would make sense to not have to validate on the B550-E necessarily and just release the update for it at the same time as the XE.

If that's true and you have cojones of steel (or it's a dual BIOS board, or has flashback) you could certainly give it a shot.

I'm happy to discover that im not alone to wonder what's going on with bios update.  The fact that they don'T give any communication or timeline about release date for bios and let their customers use their product with security issues is totaly unacceptables.  Most manufacturer out there covered their product that had security converns.  Some even have weekly bios update.
