It's a very sad day. This is Big Red. I built Red back in 2012. Over the years I've changed a few hard drives, fans and GPUs. Of course each time I had to power down this PC to make the repair. My point is... Red has been running 24/7 for 21 years. That's right ASUS, 21 years. I only use Red to watch TV. Last week I came home and Red was off. City of Lodi has been working in our area and again my power had been turned off. But when I tried to power Red back up I got nothing. Him, well I didn't have time to look into it. But I did have a new Ryzen PC I built a few months back. So I moved ? (Hell haven't named this one) into the bedroom and moved Red to the floor. I've been stepping around Red and today I thought I should move it so it wasn't under my feet. Red uses a Phantom 410 case that is made on heavy steel. With so many cables hanging I thought, I'll just pull the power supply first. Well the Corsair TX850 PCU is not Modular and before I knew it I was taking it all the way down. While pulling parts I found that the power cords for the Corsair H100 AIO was melted down to bare wire. Sadly Red could not be revived. 21 years @ 24/7 service is a good life. I will be contacting ASUS with the exact dates of life. I don't know if it's a record but they deserve the props. I'll miss you Red but at some point you'll will live on after your body is updated with all new parts.
