Hi,
Recently purchased a b650e-i motherboard with an amd 7800x3d
Looked up ram in the compatibility list and found F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N was not listed but F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR (the RGB version) was.
I figured that it would be the same memory and ordered the non RGB ones.
Now the system does not boot, goes straight to an orange qled. Cpu fans spin, case fans just for a second at power on.
As this is my first DDR5 / AMD build i do not have any spare parts to debug so i hope someone could point me in the right direction to figure out which part i have to RMA.
Could the memory chip not being listed as compatible really be the problem as the RGB version is listed as compatible with same timings.. or should i look into other parts being faulty? cpu / mainboard?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards, SCI

I let the computer shop check the parts because i didnt have spares myself and turned out the motherboard was death.
I suspected something like this as i didnt get any beeps over the speaker.
Thanks for the reply.

Hello, @scienide77
If the part numbers of the memory are different, they should be considered separate memory modules.
Based on your description, we would recommend cross-testing the memory modules listed in the QVL.
If needed, please also refer to the "Purchasing and Installation Guide" in the "Support > CPU/Memory Support > Memory" section of the ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI's official website.
Additionally, please refer to the troubleshooting steps outlined in [Motherboard] ASUS motherboard troubleshooting via Q-LED indicators for relevant problem-solving methods.
As well as try installing a single memory module in the recommended DIMM_A slot and restarting the system after clearing the CMOS.
Thank you.
