Just tried to update to BIOS 1807, memory retain is going with every boot, doesn’t matter if it’s starting up or rebooting. It takes about 1 min from pressing power button to get into Windows. Tried with Memory Context Restore both enabled and disabled, it’s the same result, seems the option is not working at all. EzFlash is not working either with BIOS Rollback support enabled for going back to 1654. Had to use the BIOS slash back button on IO panel to flash it back to 1654. Memory Context Restore works properly on 1654, and about 15 secs from pressing power button to getting into Windows.
My rig: Ryzen 7700X, G.Skill 32GB F5-Triden Z Neo 6000MHz 32-38-38-96, Crucial T700 1TB.

I'm glad someone has raised this as I am having exactly the same issue. Until I read the post above I hadn't realised what it was causing the slow start up.

If you recently updated to 1807, maybe do the same as me, rollback to 1654. With 1654 and Memory Context Restore enabled, I don’t even see the orange led, which means the memory is retraining, goes straight to post and no loading screen for windows. All same settings too, just different BIOS version.

Hi EverFly...
Thanks for that, I will give it a go and let you know although it may be a few days from now.
Cheers!

Hello, @EverFly
Could you please confirm if the part number of memory modules currently installed is F5-6000J3238G32GX2-TZ5N or F5-6000J3238G32GX2-TZ5NR?
Have you correctly installed it in the memory slots recommended by the ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI?
We suggest that you attempt installing a single memory module in the DIMM_A2 slot and clear the CMOS to default the BIOS settings with BIOS 1807 to check.
Thank you.

Hi Jiaszzz_ROG, the part number of my memory is F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N. They are installed on slot 2 and 4 as per instructions on manual. Timing is 30-38-38-96, my original post had it wrong. I am using same settings, including EXPO settings, for both BIOS, and the performance difference is clear.

FYI, I enabled Memory Context Restore in the BIOS without reverting to the 1654. All seems to be working OK, no more memory retraining and boot times significantly less. Many thanks!
