Can't believe they just released an update and completely ignored the biggest issue at hand since the 4000 series released, 9 months ago.

Will this issue ever be resolved or do we have to wait for RTX 50-series and pray for it to work, Asus?

Hello,

I think i got the same issue : random reboot when I do small things like opening Firefox : black screen then reboot (like a power issue). But intense benchmarking seems ok.

RTX 4070 TI ROG something (the one with the little OC)

rog strix x570

Ryzen 3900

32 gb of standard corsair DDR4

Dark power 13 850w

I updated to the last bios yesterday, set maximum power management in nvidia control panel and now i'm trying to set PCI-e setting in the bios to PCIe4 and not "auto".

No overclicking, just the XMP setting on for the DDR4 (all was ok before upgrading to the 4070ti).

😞

Heyho Guys,

i'am having the exact same Issue.

First my Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 OC ROG STRIX
RAM: G-Skill Trydent Z 64 GB @3600
MB: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E Gaming
Cooler: Eisbär Aurora 360 Wasserkühlung
PSU: Corsair HX1200i

So at all there is no "Power Issue" with that kind of 1200Watt PSU

My first 4090 must have be faulty bc i got some BSOD wich was memory related.
After Installing the Graphics Driver new on the Replacement i decided to reset my Settings in Control Panel.

Error of crashing PC, Freezing special using Netflix App with Diablo IV yeah. Nothing more to say.

Build worked very well befere with my ROG STRIX 3080 @10gb and my 3060 so please fix that issue or if it is an AMD Chipset fault call them so i dont rly think it is an Nvidia Problem.

Greetings

Hello, @xof2828

Could you please provide the details requested in the PM inbox so that we can offer further assistance?

Thank you.

Hello, @wolvesvillage
Kindly review and confirm the updates to our PM.

Thank you.

Hello, @Aspry

As mentioned in the PM response, since you have a different model for this discussion thread, if you continue to experience BSOD or other usage anomalies, we recommend that you create a new discussion to avoid confusion with the title model.

Thank you.

It may be related or not but I will definitely investigating this tomorrow since my DDR4 is indeed overclocked with its DOCP (XMP) profile in the bios :

https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/jcpooj/pcie_40_and_dram_oc_stability/

Disclamer : i get the issue with a x570 rog strix so my issue may be not related to this topic.

Have a nice day

Heyho xof2828,

that is a nice find, may the asus own setting „performance boost“ is preventing this issue aswell.

i try to set docp/xmp off and then manually set them. May its an faulty docp profile?

thanks man 🙂

Turning off XMP does unfortunately not help this issue. I 've tried. And manual setting of PCIe from Auto / Gen4 down to Gen3 does not help either.
