I'm reposting this here from the ROG forum community post for better visibility

(Re: ASUS B550-I STRIX BIOS "2806" UPDATE to fix 4... - Republic of Gamers Forum - 898464)

Could someone please get back to the growing list of users with the issue described in the above thread?

Maybe we should reach out to Steve, Jay, Linus or idk, maybe they can cover this topic so that ASUS HAS to response somehow

I already tried reaching out to Steve but no luck. Sadly this issue is just not large enough to get proper media attention and without that, Asus will just brush it under the rug.

Personally, I just upgraded to the next platform (though make sure to avoid Asus if you can as their mobo probably has the worst coil whine out of all the B650 ITX boards), but this really should not be our only solution. Asus should have issued a recall or some sort of compensation but obviously that would cost them money now and they would rather lose customers later.

Went through 20 pages to see if there was a fix to this.

B550I strix, went from a Tuf 3060ti which had no issues to a Asus 4070 dual then the crashes started happening...Yes the koolaid was strong, but starting to feel the regret.

@Jiaszzz_ROG please help me start the RMA process for this

Spoke with an customer service rep to initiate a replacement via their chat support. They mentioned that the new replacement b550i boards have updated traces that resolve this issue. Has anyone else heard this?

Hey!

I was offered this option and went with it. I received a replacement board and it has been working flawlessly for about a month now. Highly recommended!

Thanks asus for the support with the RMA process.

It's the same thing they said to me, a new revision of the board that resolves the issue. I did not ship my board yet because I need the computer these days. I will ship mine on january.
Local support has been really good and they attempted to contact me several times when I could not answer the phone to make sure I understood how to proceed.

I will write again when I ship my board and receive the new one next month.

I've same contacts with local Asus, they should replace my board with a new revised version right from Taiwan as they said to me.

Had some delays so I need to wait next week to send my card, and some weeks after to get the new one.

Hi,

I am experiencing the same issues described in this thread. I tried my system with two different 4070 Ti cards, and the same restarts occur on both. Using my 2080 stops the issue from happening.

Can someone help me open a RMA for this please? @Jiaszzz_ROG
