I'm reposting this here from the ROG forum community post for better visibility

(Re: ASUS B550-I STRIX BIOS "2806" UPDATE to fix 4... - Republic of Gamers Forum - 898464)

Could someone please get back to the growing list of users with the issue described in the above thread?

I'm experiencing the same issue. I upgraded from a 3060 to an "ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 4070 Ti".

Setting it to "Prefer maximum performance" in Nvidia resolved most of the crashes, but it was only after disabling DOCP that the issue completely ceased.

@Jiaszzz_ROG , how should I proceed from here?

As a fellow stix b550-i user paired with an asus 4070 Ti TUF oc i'd like to report the same issue, crashing when idle.

Rather than sending dozens of PM's out to different people why don't you just issue a BIOS fix for the problem?

Or are you just sending out new motherboards with every report of the issue?

How do I get my replacement motherboard for this issue? Asus is providing X570i Motherboards to affected users, correct?

Because they don’t do anything, unfortunately.

I just went through the RMA process for my new Asus RTX 4070 TI (took a week and a half and I had to pay for shipping), only to find it didn’t fix the problem! I’m very frustrated, doubly so now that I’ve found this obscure thread indicating the only fix is asking for a DM.

Well, if you could help fix the issue, that would be great. I just wish the issue could have been fixed with my first contact with Asus support instead of wasting both our time and money with a GPU RMA.

Hello, @BRSxIgnition

This is because inquiries regarding product serial numbers and related post-purchase assistance involve personal information, such as the need to confirm the user's contact information, among other details. It also helps avoid confusion within this discussion thread.
We appreciate your understanding.
I have PM you, and if you have any related questions, please check and kindly respond in the upper right corner for us to provide further assistance.
Thank you.

I have exact same problem. Have been facing it for months since I’ve upgraded my graphics card to 4070. The most frustrating thing is that I didn’t upgrade my cpu to a new generation only due to believing that my motherboard is still great as it’s practically like new with all boxes and accessories. Hopefully I receive some help as it is very frustrating honestly
