I'm reposting this here from the ROG forum community post for better visibility

(Re: ASUS B550-I STRIX BIOS "2806" UPDATE to fix 4... - Republic of Gamers Forum - 898464)

Could someone please get back to the growing list of users with the issue described in the above thread?

I wonder can they even fix the problem without replacing boards?

My case with Asus support here in italy is also being "evaluated/reviewed", for lack of a better translation.

I'm worried that even a board swap may not fix this issue since it seems to either be a design defect or a very very common issue anyway.

Another update on the behaviour of the system I noticed: while enabling "prefer maximum performance", as undesirable as this step may be, seems to prevent crashing once logged in, there still seems to be a chance of a black screen occurring right at the login step, perhaps in the time before the Nvidia preferences have taken effect.

EDIT: as far as my support ticket is concerned, it seems that "checks are being finalized", as of last friday:

Hello I am from Russia. I have the same problem. ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I Gaming motherboard and palit 4070 super. The computer randomly reboots. How soon will the bios update be available?

No update as of yet.

Just got a notification that mine has shipped (don't know if it's repaired or a new one). So just about a month overall from when they received it to when I'll get it back.

Glad to know your getting it back soon, I'm now in week 4.

In Germany Asus would replace the mainboard by another model, but i bought a used one and have no invoice, so they cant replace it. So for me the only possibility at the moment is the power setting.

Tyn24, Im curious as to what region you are in, US, EU, etc. Im now at a month in there hands, and only response I get is "we are waiting on feedback from management for further instructions on how to proceed with repairs"
