Hi,
I have some trouble with my brand new Asus Board...
When I start my PC into Linux, then my thunderbolt devices worked fine for am moment. After one or two minuten after the system is up, I got this error in the kernel log:
"failed to reach state tb_port_up"
After that, my thunderbolt devices does'nt work anymore. I have to restart the PC and then I run into the same problem.
It works without errors in Windows.

Hello @Owambo
Thank you for reaching out to us.
According to the specifications for the ROG MAXIMUS Z890 EXTREME, the supported operating system is Windows, and all drivers provided in the support list are specific to Windows.
Based on description, it appears the system functions normally under Windows, so the issue may be related to drivers or settings within the Linux environment.
We recommend using Windows for optimal compatibility.
Thank you.

Hi @Jiaszzz_ROG
thank you for coming back to me.
That is honestly a little bit disappointing for me, that asus don't have here support for Linux.
Maybe you can reach out with the following information to the responsable hardware/software department at Asus:
More detailed desription of the problem:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2205701#p2205701
say: at the moment here is not a recommendation for any linux users to use the newest z890 boards from Asus with Thunderbolt 5!
Thanks and bestr regards
PS:
Do you have a release date for the Asus Z890 Pro Art in Germany?
