Asus Z790-E 00 Error Code

Hi again, today my pc turned one and instantly shut down randomly, turn on it again and it was in code 00 in the mobo, its not the first time, 1 month ago happened also but it got solved by itself a day later so i just let it go and completely forgot about it 

and today happens the same i turn it on and boom, 00 code 

I have a rtx 4070 ti msi 

i7-14700k

32gb corsair 7200mhz

asus z790-e wifi ii

samsung 990 pro 1tb

and a psu corsair rmx1000 (or smth like that idk)

and my thoughts are that maybe the psu is faulty, but i want to claim for warranty but i want to make sure whats the real problem 

i didnt ever touch any component in the last months since i have it, but i noticed that when the pc turns on, the back fan spins for a 1 sec and stops spinning, and when i turn on the button of the psu i hear like a click, and when the fans spins for a sec, at the moment it stops spinning i hear another click from the psu, like it auto clicks itself and turns off (my bad for this bad explanation)

and also, when my pc used to turn on, when i turn on all leds, all monitors (2) and all pherifercials the pc started to crash the pherfiercials and freeze for a few seconds

and here is where im thinking that maybe is the psu that its not giving power to the mobo correctly, any help really would help (sorry for my english btw )

Hi @Adan your analysis is correct that Code 00 usually means a faulty PSU. You can get a PSU tester from Amazon or AliExpress depending on your area/country. These testers are not expensive and can quickly confirm yours and mine analysis i.e. your PSU has gone bad. Then you can either claim warranty, if possible or look for another PSU. Good luck!

Hey again, im going to a service shop to ask whats the problem, now i have an update, i removed the cmos battery and waited 5 min and after putting it again, all fans started to spin and it looked like it was going to start, i look the q-code and 00 again, also updated bios to version 1602 (newest one for asus z790-e wifi ii )

any ideas about what to do now?

Hi @Adan 

The fact you've been able to get the system to post intermittently could indicate a pin-pad pressure issue. Have you tried remounting the CPU?

Check the CPU pin-pad and socket for any debris or damage, then remount whilst ensuring for consistent mounting pressure as per the cooling vendors instructions.

will need to speak to service about an RMA. If possible, I would get a system integrator to check the CPU is ok. I have transferred the thread to ROG Care
