The motherboard works perfectly, except the LEDs on the motherboard itself have never worked. I have RGB on my fans, ram, RGB braided cable strip, etc and all of them work. All drivers and Armory Crate are up to date, except bios I'm on 1416 (but was on some of the previous BIOS versions before they fixed the voltage issue) and it doesn't work on this or any previous BIOS version. Armory Crate shows me the motherboard and lets me change the colors / effects but it still doesn't light up. I've checked in the BIOS and RGB is set to be on (it's not in stealth mode).
What's weird is when I updated the bios one of the times earlier in the year the RGB on the motherboard was lit up while the PC was shut down..so I know the lights themselves work but something in the software or whatever isn't triggering them to be on.
Everything else works perfectly, so it's not a huge issue but is annoying that I can't get it to light up with the rest of my RGB. Any help would be appreciated!
Based on your description, is it currently the case that the RGB lighting on the motherboard does not light up correctly, whether the system is powered on or off?
Could you please specify if this issue occurred after any particular software or hardware changes, such as a BIOS update or hardware reassembling?
We recommend trying to clear the CMOS first and then attempting to boot under default BIOS settings to see if the issue persists.
If the problem persists, please use the Armoury Crate uninstall tool to remove Armoury Crate and reinstall it via the ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI support page once again before rebooting.
