Asus rog z890 extreme looses bios settings without power

Hi,I bought this MB the other day and ever since, it has been really weird. Everytime it is unplugged, the bios resets to zilch including the TPM where windows hello saves its stuff. The time/date gets reset. I thought it was the cmos battery, and replaced it but that hasnt helped. Basically, if i unplug it so the PSU has no power, next time it boots its reset and i have to start over setting the pin in windows hello etc.

Any chance someone has had the same issue? It feels like a faulty board tbh.

1) Begin recording> Check the hardware installation on the MB, including the CMOS battery and other components.
2) Power on the system and manually adjust the BIOS settings> Save the changes, shut down the system
3) Disconnect the power, reconnect it, and capture any abnormal behavior occurring afterward.
Please also share an image of the BIOS main page and confirm the brand, model, and installation slots or ports of the CPU, GPU, RAM (with part number), SSD/HDD, and PSU.

I bought a new ASUS z890 extreme on Amazon last week. Same thing is happening to me. I just replaced the cmos battery and it seems to boot up to windows straight away and no pin reset. Strange since its a new motherboard that was released end of last year. Hopefully that was it..

Z890 Extreme , bought last month . Same here . Changed the battery , still the same . Loses settings when psu is shut down.
