Asus ROG Z790 FORMULA QCode 55 SLOTS A

I'm having an issue with my motherboard. When I connect the memory sticks to slot B, everything works fine. However, if I connect a memory stick to A1 or A2, it gives me error 55. I've tried swapping the memory sticks, tried placing only one stick in socket A, etc., but it only works when I put it in socket B.

I've tried updating the firmware, BIOS, etc., but I'm still encountering the same error.

The memory sticks are CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 4x32 5200MHz CL40 Intel XMP Compatible.

Any idea what might be happening?

Regarding Q-Code 55, according to [Motherboard] Common Q-CODE(Error CODE) and Troubleshooting, it indicates a memory issue during the boot process.
Checking the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 FORMULA QVL, it appears that the "CORSAIR VENGEANCE 4x32 5200MHz" memory is not supported, regardless of which generation CPU is used.

We recommend cross-testing memory from the QVL to confirm, and please also refer to [Motherboard] How to query (CPU/memory) QVL List? and the "purchasing and installation guide," if needed.

Is the second, and the strange is that if I put the memory in port B its working, I bought 4x32 the idea is to have 128gb, but actually its working only with 64, because only its working the slot B... the most strange is that in the BIOS, I disable the slot A, I connected the memory, restarted the PC (Started ok), opened the BIOS again and of course the memory is not detected because its disabled the port, but, I enabled the port, and in the detail, I saw that the 4 slots detect the memory without problem, but I restarted again, and I had again the error 55, I removed the memory from slot A, and work all again

Have a read here regarding mixing / combining memory kits.

Regarding slots A1 and A2 not working. The correct slots for two memory modules are A2 and B2 as per the manual.

However, if the system refuses to POST after clearing CMOS with a single memory module in A2, you may wish to attempt to reseat the CPU, as this could indicate a pin-pad contact issue. Ensure the cooler is mounted correctly and not over-torqued as per cooling vendor instructions.

Sure, but in my case I have 4 memory modules, if I connect to B1 and B2 it works fine, but if I connect to any of the A, I have error 55, so I only left B connected, Regarding the CPU, ok, I can try removing it and checking some contact issues, I didn't do it, because when I enabled the SLOTS in the BIOS, the memory was recognized without a problem, so it seemed to me that the problem could come from somewhere else.

Yes, disfunctional memory slots are often down to CPU pin contact, but if you're disabling the slots in the BIOS this likely won't help the situation.

The kits aren't validated to work together when enabing XMP.

Ok, I'm going to try removing the CPU and validating the contacts. Doesn't it seem strange to you, is it that when I enable the Slots in the BIOS, it detects the memories correctly? but it doesn't boot? Because what seems strange to me, or what I can't understand, is that by disabling the slots so that it can boot, and enabling the slots again, it detects them well, but it doesn't boot.

Is this with 4 modules installed?

1. Clear CMOS.

2. Insert one memory kit into slots A2 and B2. This is the correct configuration for this memory kit and the motherboard.

Confirm if the system POSTs successfully.

It does not matter how I connect the memories, whenever I connect one in one of the 2 slots A, I have error 55. Currently I only have slots B connected (2 modules) if I connect one in A1 or A2 or both, I have error 55. The idea was to connect the 4 modules, but same error. I tried clearing CMOS, I tried updating the firmware and BIOS, but the error persists

Then you need to check the CPU contact.
