Asus Rog z590-a sound issues with the center output

PBX99

I have  a 5.1 sound system connected via analod to the motherboard. In the Realtek Audio Control if I click on any of the speakers sounds comes out of them individually but as soon as i play music or game the center doesn't make absolutly no sound. Also I tried while music was playing to actually click on that center speaker and it does make that bleup sound but music doesn't play on it. Doesn anybody know how to fix this issue?

Hello, @PBX99

May I ask whether you have checked that all of the connectors for the 5.1 surround sound system are correctly connected?

Is the loss of sound limited to certain games or audio scenarios?
Have you tried cross-testing with other speakers or cables and encountered the same issue?
We recommend checking the settings in the Realtek audio control panel to ensure that the center speaker is not muted or set to a low volume.
Please also try uninstalling the current driver and reinstalling the latest version provided by the ROG STRIX Z590-A GAMING WIFI site, VB6.3.9600.2342.
Meanwhile, the latest BIOS version, released on December 20, 2023, is version 2001, with the corresponding Intel ME version being 15.0.45.2411V2.
Please consider updating to these versions and reconfirming the issue afterward.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply, like I mentioned before if I click on the center in the realtek panel there is actually sound coming from the center but when I listen to music in Winamp or YouTube music there is no sound coming from the center, the same goes to every game I tried so the speaker is connected and the realtek panel recognizes it and plays sound on it but no other app or game does that's what puzzles me, also the subwoofer works as it should, I mention this because they are connected with the same cable to the motherboard

I will try reinstalling the drivers to see if it works, I thought Windows updates took care of this

I updated the drivers and it still doesn't work, but I also noticed something even weirder, i will explain it bellow.

As you can see the cables are connected to the right ports.

If i click on the center in this panel sounds comes out of it. I even messed with amplification and everything but still doesn't work.

Now for the funny part

If i deselect any of these "optional speakers" music will still play trough those speakers which doesn't make sense If no speakers are selected front left and right will still play sound.

And even more weird I just realized that these are connected trough analog but in windows output it says "Speakers realtek USB audio" it's the only option that makes the sound go to the analog speakers. My headphones which are connected to USB are recognized as USB-C. So even after reinstall nothing is recognized as it should.

Hello, @PBX99

Due to the ongoing local holidays in our area, my response time may experience delays.
I apologize for any inconvenience the delayed replies may have caused.

Thank you for providing further clarification and testing.
Based on your description, it appears that there may have been abnormalities in the additional settings as well.
We recommend referring to the steps of "Reset the PC and keep your files" outlined in [Windows 11/10] How to reset the PC to try restoring the settings under the system.
Meanwhile, if you haven't updated BIOS to the latest version 2001 released on December 20, 2023, please consider updating and clearing CMOS before reconfirming again.

Thank you.
