Asus rog x670e hero shows code "0d" after system restart

Hello everyone,

I've been encountering a recurring issue with my PC recently. Sometimes, after the system has been on for a while and I try to restart it, I get error code "0d" displayed on my motherboard. To resolve this and boot up correctly, I have to perform a hard shutdown, after which the system boots up normally.

This problem started occurring recently, more than a year and a half after I initially built the system. It coincided with upgrades including new Corsair QX fans and switching from an ASUS Strix 3090 to an ASUS TUF 4070 Ti Super GPU.

Here's what I've tried so far to resolve the issue:

- Tested different BIOS versions
- Replaced CPU with Ryzen 9 7900X3D
- Replaced motherboard to the same model  ROG X670E Hero
- Installed a new AIO cooler, Corsair iCUE LINK H150i
- Tested with different RAM kits, Corsair Vengeance 6000MHz 2x16GB

My PC specifications are as follows:

- Motherboard: Asus ROG X670E Hero
- CPU: Previously Ryzen 7 7800X3D, now Ryzen 9 7900X3D
- GPU: ASUS TUF 4070 Ti Super 16GB
- PSU: Corsair RM-1200X SHiFT
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 5200MHz 2x16GB (32GB total)
- Case: Corsair 5000X RGB
- Fans and CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE LINK ecosystem
- Storage: 2x Samsung 990 Pro 1TB, 1x Samsung 980 Pro 2TB

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Hello guys. I have a x870 aorus elite wifi 7 ice motherboard and happens the exact same thing. 1/20 restarts i get 0d and only one of 2 RAM stick works. It gets fixed after force shutdown, or switching rams in place. I have tried different bios version, same thing happened. Upgrading to the x870 won T solve it, it S software related.

Do you happen to have iCue installed? I have the same issue after I got it installed... I did a clean windows install and only after iCue I run into this issue... with iCue Link system hub

Not much to add but I have the same issue, well I think since I don't have a 7 segment display X670E-I. It only happens on restart.

I left a comment with more details in this thread: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/amd-600-series/x670-resource/m-p/1050931#M7522

Is this ever going to be fixed or should I contact ASUS for a refund? 🙂

I had the same issue with a Gigabyte x670E AORUS Master, different RAM from GSKILL and a new CPU (7800X3D) and run in the same issue after restarts. It is really frustrating. I think it is my 4th clean Windows 11 Pro install. I belive it is software related. Saw here some posts with different Motherboards and the also have an issue.

a workaround finally landed in the latest Beta BIOS

What does this do and to what have you set the perimeter?

Version 2505 Beta Version has the option to Enable - Monitoring Software reboot workaround - it seems to work, I already reboot and shut down a PC multiple times after that without any issues.

Now this is VERY interesting! We need to know what this is doing/masking, and if there are negative performance or monitoring issues with it

Anyone also experience total PC freezes after a start especially when opening the Taskmanager right after it?
