Hello everyone,
I've been encountering a recurring issue with my PC recently. Sometimes, after the system has been on for a while and I try to restart it, I get error code "0d" displayed on my motherboard. To resolve this and boot up correctly, I have to perform a hard shutdown, after which the system boots up normally.
This problem started occurring recently, more than a year and a half after I initially built the system. It coincided with upgrades including new Corsair QX fans and switching from an ASUS Strix 3090 to an ASUS TUF 4070 Ti Super GPU.
Here's what I've tried so far to resolve the issue:
- Tested different BIOS versions
- Replaced CPU with Ryzen 9 7900X3D
- Replaced motherboard to the same model ROG X670E Hero
- Installed a new AIO cooler, Corsair iCUE LINK H150i
- Tested with different RAM kits, Corsair Vengeance 6000MHz 2x16GB
My PC specifications are as follows:
- Motherboard: Asus ROG X670E Hero
- CPU: Previously Ryzen 7 7800X3D, now Ryzen 9 7900X3D
- GPU: ASUS TUF 4070 Ti Super 16GB
- PSU: Corsair RM-1200X SHiFT
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 5200MHz 2x16GB (32GB total)
- Case: Corsair 5000X RGB
- Fans and CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE LINK ecosystem
- Storage: 2x Samsung 990 Pro 1TB, 1x Samsung 980 Pro 2TB
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Are you connecting the Lian Li AIO to the onboard USB headers?
Is the vendor software installed [Lian Li]?
Is Armoury Crate also installed along side it?

Yes. Yes. Yes.
I tried all the options. Nothing changes for me.

Another user reported the issue went away when he disconnected the Lian Li hub.

I was deleting the software. I did not dismantle the cooling system itself. I don't have anything to replace it with. (I write using machine translation. sorry if there are any mistakes)

but. I was building two systems at the same time. The second one is on ROG MATRIX X 670 EE GAMING WI-FI + Air cooling. AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D. RTX 2080Ti. G.Skill DDR5-4800/ 2x32 . BIOS is one of the first, I don't remember which one now. There are no problems with 0d on that system

Much older AGESA.
From reading reports even in this thread, the issue doesn't appear to be vendor-agnostic.

What is the problem in your opinion?

I have Ique, tested to disconnect it last time i had 0D , did not help
Seems that to get my system to semi-work i have to:
Disable CoreIsolation in Windows
Enable Memory Contex restore
Flash 2303 Bios
Those operations only causes a single 0D error on restarts for for example windows update, but i dont need to clear cmos anymore i can just user reset button and it boots fine

I'm suffering with OD too on system restarted 1 out of 20 Msi x670e carbon. Either 0D or 97 code. From full system shut down to turn on its flawless. But I don't understand the restarts working 1 in 20. Sometimes 1 in 10. For the amount of money parts cost. This crap shouldn't happen

I had it like that. The system sometimes booted 3 out of 10. The rest is 0d. but at the same time, it would boot with code 30 or code 40, very rarely with code AA. On the last two bios, the system always has a 0d code when rebooting, but also always AA. I'm not the kind of user who wants to dig into bios. I'm just not interested in it.
