Hello everyone,
I've been encountering a recurring issue with my PC recently. Sometimes, after the system has been on for a while and I try to restart it, I get error code "0d" displayed on my motherboard. To resolve this and boot up correctly, I have to perform a hard shutdown, after which the system boots up normally.
This problem started occurring recently, more than a year and a half after I initially built the system. It coincided with upgrades including new Corsair QX fans and switching from an ASUS Strix 3090 to an ASUS TUF 4070 Ti Super GPU.
Here's what I've tried so far to resolve the issue:
- Tested different BIOS versions
- Replaced CPU with Ryzen 9 7900X3D
- Replaced motherboard to the same model ROG X670E Hero
- Installed a new AIO cooler, Corsair iCUE LINK H150i
- Tested with different RAM kits, Corsair Vengeance 6000MHz 2x16GB
My PC specifications are as follows:
- Motherboard: Asus ROG X670E Hero
- CPU: Previously Ryzen 7 7800X3D, now Ryzen 9 7900X3D
- GPU: ASUS TUF 4070 Ti Super 16GB
- PSU: Corsair RM-1200X SHiFT
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 5200MHz 2x16GB (32GB total)
- Case: Corsair 5000X RGB
- Fans and CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE LINK ecosystem
- Storage: 2x Samsung 990 Pro 1TB, 1x Samsung 980 Pro 2TB
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

I swapped the RAM Modules, GPU and CPU. Pretty sure its not a Hardware issue. I had the problem also with Optimal, Expo 1 and Expo 2 DRAM settings. At the moment Armory Crate is only deactivated but not deinstalled after multiple Windows clean installs. I will check tomorrow the Fan Xpert - AiSuite SDK Version. Should be the latest version

I might actually have found something by chance, it might not be the board but windows, i noticed after plugin in a game controller i havent used for a while it wouldent load the driver, on troubleshooting i discovered that it is not working if core isolation is on, went in and yeah it was on ( i have turned it off before so somewhere it has activated) after disable i cant trigger the 0D error with usuall things like updating windows or turning HAGS on or off, then it might or might not be related to that USB driver (it is an ancient Logitech G25 Wheel with a like 10 yo driver)
It correlates in time i cant remember using the wheel after issues arose
Will monitor and see

Hello, I have this exact same issue with my MSI MPG Carbon Gaming Wifi board. "0d" on some restarts, maybe 1 in 10 after using the PC for a few days. It seems to be a plague with the x670e chipset. I have 4 sticks of ram. Two different kits but 100% same model number. I run quad channel. 2x16 each kit so all up 64gb of RAM. And it seems to be a ram issue. Because I get 0d and when I restart from case restart button. Because my case has a dedicated restart button. The error changes to C5. So it's 0d or C5 with the amber/orange DRAM light on. For the money I paid in my country. $750 at the time. I shouldn't be getting these stupid errors

holy heck.. so this issue might be manufacturer agnostic and could be an AGESA/Prom 21 issue?

Good afternoon everyone
Since my previous post, my PC has not presented any problems. No error codes. It seems that my nightmare has come to an end.
Thank you all for your help.

How did your nightmare come to a end? How did you fix it? My only hope is to use my current build for 12 more months then build a whole new system with no RGB and a x870e Asus motherboard. At the moment I have MSI x670e and this 0d errors are killing me. Making me wish I went with ROG Strix Gaming E

I did everything that has already been said in this topic:
I disassembled almost the entire PC (I hadn't removed the cooler but I loosened the screws a little ), cleaned everything and reassembled it.
I disabled USB 4 in the BIOS
I disabled Armory Crate in the BIOS, uninstalled the app
I uninstalled icue
I uninstalled the Gigabyte app that controls the RGB of the video card
I disconnected the Lian Li hub completely
I cleared the BIOS a million times
Then my thermal paste that I ordered arrived from the store, and I removed the cooler. The thermal paste was very dry and solidified. I cleaned it and applied the new paste. Since then, no more errors have appeared.
So I enabled USB 4 in the BIOS and activated the RAM profile again.
I didn't install icue, nor the Gigabyte app, and I didn't connect the Lian Li hub.
I don't know if this post will help you, but that's what I did.

Still good here also, i did also update BIOS to the beta 2401 , im kind of wondering if i should go to 2403 stable i saw released, or just keep it as is now, i dont think 2401 was solution i just updated as i was at wits end, that core isolation / drier thing was probably what triggered the crazynes

i also have 0d sometimes when i reboot on old BIOS 1415 on my x670e Hero
so i dont know if the newer BIOS/Agesa will help or have more benefits/performance then my old 1415 ?!
my setup:
AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D - ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO - SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RADEON RX 7900 XTX VAPOR-X 24GB GDDR6 - G.SKILL 64GB (2*32GB) 6000Mhz CL30 HYNIX A-DIE RGB (F5-6000J3040G32GX1-TZ5NR) - SAMSUNG 990 PRO 2TB NVMe M.2
my system is stable atm with expo1 and BCLK2 at 103 (X3D OC Profile)
so i dont know if updating BIOSwill be a good idea ...
