ASUS ROG STRIX Z890-E GAMING WIFI Intel® Z890 LGA 1851 ATX motherboard

Level 7

Although the bios sees the hard drives and correctly identifies them, it does not see the bootable drive as bootable. Please help. At this point I’ve replaced the motherboard to no avail everything is plugged in correctly.

Hello @Tjrunion

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you please provide the brand and model of the installed hard drive and confirm whether it is connected via a SATA port? Have you tried cross-testing with a different hard drive, SATA port, or SATA cable to isolate any potential hardware issues?
We recommend ensuring that the BIOS boot mode (UEFI/Legacy) matches your operating system, verifying the GPT/MBR partition format of the boot drive, and, if necessary, updating the BIOS and clear CMOS before checking again.
If the issue persists, kindly share more detailed hardware and software specifications, connection port locations, and images of the BIOS main page to help us further clarify your setup.

Thank you.
