ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming Wifi ll Motherboard displaying error codes

Level 7

The error codes it starts displaying on the motherboard are 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 46, 47, 48, 49, 51, 55 and it continues with these codes in a loop. It also jumps to different codes within that loop. The pc boots up just fine. I am able to played video games and launch my web browsers with no issues. The only issues that I have noticed are the fans on the front of my case are not lighting up like they used to. I just put together this pc a few days ago. I have all of the drivers installed at least I think I do since I had them installed from armorycrate and with the nvida Geforce experience. I don't know what else to do since I have taken all of the parts out of the case and then put the pc back together.

My Specs are:

  • Intel i9-14900k
  • Corsair Vengeance RGB 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5 6000
  • NZXT Kraken Elite RGB 360mm
  • ASUS ROG Strix Geforce RTX 4070 Super OC Edition
  • ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi ll
  • Corsair RM1000e Fully Modular
  • Samsung SSD 990 PRO 4TB
  • Samsung SSD 990 PRO 2TB
  • Microsoft Windows 11 Home
  • Lian Li Lancool lll RGB

Hello ttray1414

It looks like the Q-Code readout is set to Auto, set to Auto it will display your cpu temperature.

You can set the Q-Code readout to Post Code Only.

In the bios, Advanced tab, Onboard Devices Configuration, here you can set the Q-Code readout to Post Code Only.

Setting it to Post Code Only should show A0 when booted into windows.

Hello @ttray1414

The Q-codes indicate the steps the system goes through during the Power-On Self Test (POST).
If it detects a hardware issue at any step, it will halt on a specific code to signal the problem.
In this situation, you can refer to [Motherboard] Common Q-CODE(Error CODE) and Troubleshooting or the Q-Code table in the ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI II User’s Manual.
This means that it's normal for several Q-codes to briefly flash by during the startup process.
If you haven't encountered any startup issues, such as being unable to boot, fans running without a display, etc., we recommend that you continue to observe your system during use.

Thank you.
