I bought this board specifically because it supported RAID on 4 SATA,

And I followed the raid configuration guide

But nothing in this guide exists in my bio

A first I thought it was because of my 3 nvme but not one were still plugged in this picture only 2 of my 7 drive are still plugged, I’ve tried only SATA drive plug then only nvme, cmos every time with the latest driver download, maybe some one can explained to me what am missing ?

Hello @Gurlokovich

Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for the delayed response due to a public holiday in our region and any inconvenience this may have caused.
Could you kindly confirm the current BIOS version of your ROG STRIX B850-E GAMING WIFI?
We are in the process of consulting the relevant teams to verify the specifications and RAID configuration details for this model, which may take some time. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you.

The last one from the 10 of February 1005 I was so excited to install it as I thought it was a fix to my problem, but no. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one stuck with this problem. Just think how stupid I felt paying 480$ CND for a motherboard that can’t do what a 200$ could. But at least I’m not worried because I know you will refund me if for whatever reasons it is not fixed.

in the meantime I’ve tried a couple of times to uninstall and reinstall the chipset drivers in hope of being able to update the raid expert driver because the one in the bios is referring to when the raidXexpert menu is unlocked is not the same as the last one available to download on asus web site.

anyway don’t give up guys I know you’ll find a solution.

I have same problem. I want to do Raid on SATA but i can only do on NVME. My BIOS version is 1005.

Hy guys what's going on cause i don't  have the Raid option for SATA only nvme

I think they just forgot to give that option. Maybe it will be on next version of BIOS.

Me the strangest thing is I think they completely forgot to add a SATA menu because all asus MB menu look the same and have a couple of option and the one in this MB look juste empty with only one option towards the SATA drive with the S.M.A.R.T feature and the second option….WTF would I go in the SATA menu to enable raid on my NVME drive when the NVME menu is juste before the SATA menu??? I’ve found the controller for the SATA drive hidden deep in the menu but does nothing expect turning them of or on. This feels a lot like a rush product, but don’t get me wrong it is a good board for me the only thing missing is the raid activation for my SATA and the possibility to split the ECLK from other components like in the other top asus bord can do, but I think it is only a X*70 MB features. I’ve ran my 9800X3D at 5.8 all core beat the best score at OCCT in the 4 cpu benchmarks and placed in 7 place on 3dmark CPU test, I bought 64Gb 6000 40-40-40-77 (DR as it is known to be harder to run faster) kit that this board was able to run at 6400 CL28 6000 CL26 and 6600 CL32. I’m going to let them another month to try fixing the issue, I’ll return it under false claims if not because at this price for a B series MB kind of lame not being able to activate raid on old tech like SATA drive.

Can you send me your BIOS profile? I have too 9800X3D but i dont know why i can't push more than 5.3 GHZ on OCCT.

When I've updated last Bio i didn't know it was also erase all my profile, but for OCCT u removed all boost put my soc Vcore at 1.38 😬, but with a minus offset of -0.0800, then ran the benchmark if it didn't crash i use Asus V-turbo to remove some of the offset, but at this result i was passing 240W at the socket😩😩😩

i am using 420MM Arctic III, at max RPM and my computer was in a room at 0-5 Degree Celsius, for the ram i load the OC profile ASUS implemented then, voltage at 1,55 see if it load then lower V until it doesn't, after by try and error lower the timing but for the latency only 4 setting really matther, tCL, MT/s, tREFI and tRFC. after tRFC I've let almost everything at Auto.

For ma everyday use since I've have good cooling put PBO at +200 CO -50,-50,-38,-38,-35,-35,-35,-35 I've removed the jumper on the motherboard that restrict the current, my Ram at 6400CL30 not 28, more stable, the PBO in tweak AI let you chose a temperature threshold i chose 90 degree then i limit current in the current option at 140% at both place, then let the AI overclock.

if you have a good cooling score with him he does a nice job, i kind of cheese him a bit , i went back and forth in the bios until a add 170 in score then then I've deactivated the training so now he always thing i have de the best cooling in the world.  the max I've ever see my CPU was 75 (except onetime) but with the voltage and current he send me at normal temperature il would hit 95 right away i think.  At idle I'm at 15-19 degree. but this is a risqué game cause once only one time not really sure what the AI did, a normal bench at cinebench that normal i never go higher then 65 degree i went right  away at 105 and I'm not sur why the CPU did shot down right away, maybe it is the jumper on the motherboard , but only happen once
