Ok so i recently brought and built a new pc got it all up and running BIOS updated AMD Chipset Drivers everything is fine, And then we come to the audio drivers and well im confused and have no idea wtf is going on i have unistalled reinstalled the drivers over 20 times at this point.
So i have been trying to get my mic volume working for discord ect messed around with the Microphone boost in windows sound and the realtek software go it to a point i thought was ok only to then when ever i play a youtube video or any type of music people in discord can hear it,
Now this is where is gets weird iv had the same headset on my old set up and never had this problem but for some reason on this new ASUS ROG Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi ATX when ever i turn up or down the volume control on my headset cable it will also do the same thing to the voice volume.
Scroll volume up = sounds like voice DB has gone to +100
Scroll volume down = Sounds like voice DB has gone to 0 and cant hear me talk
Now i dunno if this is an ASUS mortherboard thing or what but iv never had this problem on any other branded motherboard before and im lost on what to do at this point i almost just want to buy a hole new Mobo and be done with it even thought this mobo is only 1 week old
Any help would be great cus i am lost

Hello @Dennis22
Thank you for reaching out to us.
May I ask if the issue described occurs exclusively when using Discord, or do you experience similar issues with other audio software, such as Teams, Google Meet, Skype, or others?
When the problem occurs, is the microphone connected to the chassis or a specific port on the rear panel? Have you tried cross-testing with different ports to see if there is any difference?
We would advise you to try the following steps:
Right-click on the volume icon in Windows, select "Recording Devices," then locate "Stereo Mix" and disable it.
Next, open Discord, go to "User Settings" > "Voice & Video," select the correct microphone under "Input Device," and ensure that the correct headphones or speakers are selected under "Output Device.". Please also verify that the volume control settings in Discord are properly configured.
If possible, could you kindly provide screenshots of your system settings and voice settings in Discord to help us confirm your configuration?
Additionally, we have noticed a similar discussion regarding System audio playing through Discord. We recommend checking the responses provided there to see if any of them may be helpful.
Thank you.

Hey so i uploaded a video that shows all the settings might help more the headset cable is plugged into the back of the mortherboard (3.5mm into a splitter for the Mic and Speaker ports) not the front chassis io. I have also brought a brand new headset and splitter thinking that might of been the problem but nope!!
So incase need abit more info its brand new build few weeks old at this point got it all up and running installed the drivers from the Asus site for the Mobo went to set up the sound setting and noticed that even when i would put the Microphone Boost to +10 dB / +20 dB / +30dB you couldnt even hear me talking but you could if i turn up the volume control on my headset as for some reason that would change the volume of the voice????? this never happened before on my old system and a friends system so its new to this mortherboard, so i did some searching and seen it seems to be a big problem with this mobo from what i can see 😞 ,
So i started to look abit more and found a post on there forums by MoKiChU that dose drivers so i followed all the steps posted installed the drivers no change still the same thing,
Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) :
Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) :
Drivers : 6.4.0.2406 WHQL [27/11/2024]
SS3 Extension Driver : 1.4.0.0 WHQL [17/04/2023]
SS3 AudioProcessingObject Driver : 3.7.2.0 WHQL [20/06/2024]
DTS APO4x Extension Driver : 1.14.2.0 WHQL [02/07/2024]
This is what was linked to someone els who has the same motherboard and the current drivers i have installed i DO NOT have the DTS and Sonic Studio Bloat ware installed as they did nothing and changed nothing (could be wrong but i have tried with and without them nothing helps)
So now i have resorted to having to use the SteelSeries Sonar program which is why u see all the stuff in the settings this has been the only way i can fix the awful audio and super loud peeks that i would get with just the default settings without the SteelSeries Sona program.
